Studio policies:
50% deposit required to book studio time. Balance due (cash) at close of session. If deposit is not received within 48hrs. of scheduled session time, session will be cancelled. Invoices/Receipts can be supplied at client’s request.
A minimum of 48 hrs. is required for any cancellation or rescheduling of studio time. Cancellation or rescheduling made within 48 hrs. of scheduled session time will result in forfeiture of deposit. A new 50% deposit will be required for future bookings.
Sessions (billing) begin exactly at the time scheduled by client. Studio is not responsible for client tardiness—if client is late for any reason, client will be charged from scheduled start time—no exceptions. Session overage beyond scheduled time will be billed in half-hour increments. Studio time is not pro-rated, if client books time, client is expected to pay for it. Full payment for amount of time booked is due at close of session.
For mixing, all songs should be submitted online or in person “tracked,” or “stemmed” out–each instrument/voice on it’s own track, of at least 24 bit/44.1k quality in .wav or .aiff format. MP3s and stereo 2-trk beats are not recommended and should only be used as a last resort. Bouncing down from DAW project file to stems for mixing can be done for $25.
Be prepared to allow 30 minutes for alternate mixes (tv/instrumental/a capella) and bouncing of stems/transfer of data/emailing copies—these will not be supplied after the session free of charge. Client should bring external drive for transfer of files. Studio is not responsible for retaining or archiving session files after conclusion of project. All files will be deleted one week after session completion if no prior arrangements were made.
If the studio should suffer any failure due to nature or other forces, session will be rescheduled at a time that works for client and studio. If there are technical failures during the session that stop production, free time equal to downtime will be given to client to make up for the loss. Studio is not responsible for failure of any equipment supplied by client.
